Diving Adventure Ltd
Diving Adventure was opened in 1998 at the location of 2nd Floor 61 Percival Street Causeway. She was expended to 2 stories in 2000 with the same address.
In 2001, DA was awarded the first nominated Dive Center from LCSD as the Scuba Training Center for 1st Scuba Training Program for LCSD Lifeguards.
In 2002, DA had achieved the stringent standard to become a PADI Five Star Centre and had the award of Quality Tourism Service - Retail from Hong Kong Tourism Board. The achievement and accreditation obtained from both International and Local organizations.
In 2003, the expansion of the dive centre area up to 4 stories at the same building. DA Travel Department also opened in the same year with the TIC Travel License No. 352605.
In 2004, DA had invested 2 well equipped diving vessels, i.e. Adventure I and Adventure II, each capacity with max. 35 divers with 100 Al tanks, 2 mariner compressors and necessary scuba equipments and came with tender chase boat. In the same year, Stephen had been to the United States and gained the credential of PADI Course Director, Emergency First Responder Instructor Trainer and Diver Alert Network Oxygen Provider Instructor Trainer. This year, Diving Adventure also achieved the PADI Five Star IDC Center rating and moved to the new address located at Island Building in Causeway Bay with the area of 5000 sq. ft., which almost the most comprehensive dive center in Hong Kong.
In 2005, DA was the first dive center who had escort the Hong Kong Ice Diver Team to Antarctica. The same year, Stephen had gained the Pro Trainer rating from the International Association of Handicapped Diver.
In 2006, DA had invested for one more additional Professional Dive Vessel, i.e. Adventure Explorer. This vessel has the max. Capacity of 58 divers and has the capability for live-on-board service for remote dive sites both in Hong Kong and outside Hong Kong Area. This vessel also been equipped with diver oriented facilities, such as 2 mariner compressor, nitrox blending penal with medical oxygen on board, sufficient scuba equipments, over 200 nos. 63 cu. ft Al tanks, 3set semi-closed circuit rebreathers, twin-set tanks with manifolds and stage tanks. In the same year, DA had also expanded the branch in Kowloon Area, i.e. DA Kowloon. Meanwhile, Stephen also successfully to commend IAHD to have the recognition from Hong Kong Government as a non-profit organization in Hong Kong and Club Member of Hong Kong Underwater Association.
In 2006, DA was the first time to conduct the unique cooperate course between DA and the Hong Kong Travellers, which “Certificate in Marine Tourism” had been successfully absorbed by Continue Education Fund under the “Reimbursable Course List” which the applicants can be able to have max. 80% the subsidization on the course fee from the government.
In 2006, Stephen had achieved the Pro-Trainer of International Association for Handicapped Divers and had set up the non-profit organization in Hong Kong and became the Club Member of Hong Kong Underwater Association.
In 2007, the extension of the Gas Filling Station in Po Chong Wan; and “Advance Certificate in Marine Tourism” also absorbed as the CEF course, and with the great honor to introduce the famous Hong Kong Underwater Photographer Mr. Stephen Wong to be the tutor of the Underwater Photographic Session of the ACMT course.
In 2007, their Mr. Stephen Au had successfully to reach the rating of Advanced Instructor from Hong Kong Underwater Association. Mr. Stephen Au had also achieved SDI/TDI Instructor Trainer in the following year.
In 2008, Mr. Stephen Au had take involvement of the Documentary Production – Episode of Tung Ping Chau by Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK).
In 2009, DA was the first dive centre in Hong Kong who had organized the Diving Group to the Arctic Circle for Ice Diving.
In 2009, DA was awarded as The PADI Five Star Career Development Center (CDC).
In 2009, DA was being awarded the recognition of “Caring Company” from The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS).
